The boat....

As my husband knows all to well, I love this boat! It is stranded out there in the inlet and will not budge. We pass by this boat every day going to and from our house and it still makes me smile. I don't know why I love it or what appeals to me, but I know that it is the most photographed lankmark in Wasilla...and here are a few shots of that boat...in all seasons of course.

My Wedding work...

ok, my first wedding went well! I had a family friend ask me to do her wedding and I do believe that this was the most informal wedding I have ever seen. It was super relaxed and they didn't mind me being there taking shots. I had a blast getting the experience and enjoying the fellowship. Here are just a few shots to give you an idea of what the day was like...

Bubbles....

Here is Colten enjoying a fun time with bubbles! These are not just your ordinary bubbles...these are the kind that don't burst when you blow them! Makes for an even more exciting adventure!

Moose Hunting...

The other day, my family and I went out "hunting" for moose! It was great! We went a total of about 30 miles from home and back and we encountered about 14 moose! That is great! I brought my camera...of course and I was hoping to get some great shots of the moose as well as the sunset that was approaching us. I saw a moose and jumped from the car and took a few shots...he ran away. We kept driving and ran into a mom and her baby...I knew to be cautious because we all know how moms get with their babies! So I was careful as I snuck up on her laying in her bed...she let me get a few shots of her and then she and her baby ran off. We drove to the inlet and approached a moose crossing the road and I took a few shots of him as well. Then as we drove down the hill to the waters edge, the colors of the sunset began to unfold. It was glorious! The reds, oranges, yellows, lavendars and darkest purples were amazing! The mountains reflected the light as well as the city of Anchorage reflected the sunset! It was a great day!

Fall is my favorite...

I loved these shots so much...just the color and composition...that i decided to paint it on canvas and put it in my living room...I love it!
I am just going to put up some of my favorite pictures of fall here...I played with the color on this one...

Summer turned to fall...

ahhh....sunset over the lake...such a nice work of art...in the works! ha. This was the lake just behind our apartment and I wanted to capture the reflections on the water. The trick with landscapes is to put a base at the foreground of the picture to anchor the photo and give it a sense of depth. i don't love this picture, but it shows a reflection and a sense of depth...

My Newest love...

Ok, so i got my camera in April/March of 2008 and so I will post up some more adventures of my photographic journey.

We went to Denali National park for a summer trip with our friend from SC and it was a great trip. We saw tons and tons of rabbits! I spotted them for miles! We also saw a couple of carabou. It was a great day overall.
